Why are mug shots posted here? For one thing, you have a right to see them. And, for another, this site was created as a public service, to record those taken into custody by local law enforcement. Booking information has been collected from the Alachua County Jail system. The site makes no assumptions or representations about guilt or innocence. In fact, in most cases, people pictured here have not been convicted of the charges indicated. In our system of justice, they are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Further, the information available on this site should not be used to determine any person's actual criminal record. Mug shots are presented chronologically, by booking time and date.
